Rise with the sun, you will set to the rhythm of the island’s farmers and leave for your very first immersion on the theme of the taro. Taro is the purple or yellow tuber that forms the basis of the Polynesian diet. The Australians grow the best varieties, and taro is an institution.
One of our favourite farmers will take you to his tarodium where you will participate in planting and harvesting activities. Once the precious ingredient is loaded into the wheelbarrow, it will be time to go to the kitchen and discover the many ways to prepare it. Enjoy your meal alongside your host.

You will receive an email with a GPS pinpoint of your meeting location for this immersion. Upon arrival at your meeting location, you will see a sign with the NANI logo along the road and a NANI guide waiting for you.
We recommend arriving by car or taxi. You can park your car on the side of the road like the locals. If getting picked up by taxi, you can have the taxi driver pick you up at the same location.

A farmer opens the doors to his work and his ancestral knowledge. He'll show you all the secrets of this tuber.
