Taievau Hervé MARAETAATA

Introducing

Hervé was born and raised in the Marquesas Islands, on the island of Fatu Hiva.

His knowledge was first shaped through the transmission of his parents and grandparents, then deepened through powerful experiences in communion with nature. Whether in the mountains, retracing ancestral paths once walked by the elders, or at sea, aboard a traditionnal outrigger canoe navigating on the Pacific ocean, his understanding has been nourished by the living world and enriched by the encounters made along his journeys.

Today, through his stories and gestures, Hervé works first of all for his people, inviting them to fully reconnect with their roots and essence. He then shares this knowledge with each visitor who comes to meet him, here on his land of Te-Rua-O-Hiti. Reflecting who he is, this place is generous and guided by the spirit of sharing, where Hervé transmits and moves others through a deeply authentic presence.
